We call him "Hef"

He has his own mansion and the robe to match

Thanksgiving

Mason liked Turkey Day this year. Even after all his cousins had left the table, Mason stayed at ate with the adults. And then he ate Sweet Potato Pie after his meal! We had a good time with the Ferraro's and the Sindelar's during our 5-day stay in Omaha. We are excited to come home for Christmas and see everyone again.

First Hair Cut

So, Mom tried to cut my hair at home. Even though Dad told her to leave it alone. Mom is stubborn and did it anyway. Although, she is smart in science and space, she is NOT a good hair stylist. My hair was all crooked as you can see in the before pictures. However, I sat very nicely at the salon and got a sucker at the end!

Halloween

Sorry we have been slacking on the blog. In case you all don't know, Mommy is pregnant and she did not feel well for about 3 months. But we are passed that now so get ready for some great pics. First, we have Halloween. We went to the Pumpkin Farm and Mason was a caterpillar for his first, real trick or treating experience. He likes the suckers.

Auntie Jamie's Wedding

Mason was a dancing machine (takes after BOTH his parents) at Jamie's wedding. It was a great evening filled with good food, good friends and an awesome DJ. I had to forgive him for not playing Bon Jovi, but he had long hair so I could tell he was a true fan. Dan "lost" Mason twice during the reception claiming, "He is fast!". Really, I think Dan just wasn't paying attention. We had a lot of stories to tell and even got to see Scooter and Kally again. Plus, Russ and Jamie were adorable.

Uncle Brad's Wedding

After an eventful summer, the Sindelar's had several weddings to attend. I think the only reason we were invited was so people could see Mason, and maybe watch Dan be a goof. Here we are at Uncle Brad's wedding (Dan's younger brother). Mason is giving his traditional stoic look (he got into a little bit of micheif as Amy and Brad were saying their vows - sorry guys), then you can see the 3 of us. Next, is Mason at the end of the night and a rare photo of Tom and Linda Sindelar dancing. And lastly, of course, is Dan - the life of the party. He was on a first-name basis with the DJ, the bartender and every kid in the house.

What's up with Sir Mason

Here's a current picture of Sir Mason William. He's developing quite a personality. Mason cut open his gums this week because he forgot to stop and ran into the coffee table, but he recovered quickly. He is also getting his 2 front teeth and has a slight ear infection. Other than that, he is a happy guy.
Mason's Current Stats:
Age: 14 months on July 25
Height: 26 inches
Weight 24.5 pounds (Cam is catching up, Tess!)
Eyes: Beautiful, chocolate brown
Says: "uh-oh", "thank you", "dada" and "Lisa" (daycare provider). Notice how "mama" isn't listed. :)
Likes: running, picking up rocks (future geologist?), playing with other kiddos, Duke and Bruno, food, Daycare Lisa, social outings (he's quite a people person), and crackers
Dislikes: being held when it's playtime, slowing down for any reason what-so-ever, teething and falling into coffee tables, diaper changes (requires him to sit still), and being told "no", which is a common occurance.
Learning: how to throw a fit, how to use a fork, how to jump (this one is hilarious!)

Man of the Hour

Mommy's friend, Crystal, got married. So the Sindelar's trekked to KC for the big event. Mason was the highlight of the reception.
What a flirt!
"What's up, Ladies!"

Daddy's Day

For Father's Day, Mason worked really hard! He spelled out "#1 Dad" in beer cans! Plus, he had to learn to read and write the night before. Becomming literate is a challenging task for a 1-year-old.
Here are the 2 boys enjoying the beer message.
He's just dying to knock it all over!

Fun at the Lake

Here we are playing on the water. Mason and Mommy like the tube and cruising on our boat (Dan named her "Florence", but we lovingly call her "Flo"). Daddy likes to open Flo up and fly around the lake at top speeds. He enjoys skiing and wake boarding. Back on land, Mason really enjoyed going from campsite to campsite and playing the hip-hop "channel" on his new car. And lastly, is a picture of our beautiful Flo at sunset.

More Fun at the Lake

Mason wasn't too sure about this "lake" business at first, but he came around.

Dan was so proud. All he needs now is a beer.

One Year Later - May 25, 2008

Mason started out his 1st birthday party by taking a little rest on the floor. He was getting mentally psyched for the day. While Mason rested, Mommy made a LEGO birthday cake and Daddy got food and, of course, beer for the party. At first, Mason was very careful with his cake but eventually he was covered in yumminess.

BBQ at Uncle Andy's and Aunt Kim's

Mason loves the Sindelar's! We had a great time running around and swinging in Uncle Andy's backyard. All the Sindelar's were in one place at one time!!
